[訪問] Adrock談及 “Beastie Boys曾經面對第一個Sample 訴訟”

由廿多年前開始在美國走紅的3位白人Hip Hop 組合Beastie Boys, 80年代的Single《Fight for Your Right (To Party)》 的爆炸性成功首先為這張大碟的銷售打開了市場， 成為了當時Billboard 200排行榜的冠軍，市場最終 證明這張專輯的價值—它是整個80年代銷量最好的 一張rap專輯,而今次訪問的核心成員-Adrock,說出 當時第一台購買的鼓機 - Roland TR-808, $250美金,

Well, the other things is that I kind of discovered LL Cool J

We didn’t really call it sampling.

That’s what I believe or that’s what I’ve been told that Beastie Boys was the first sample lawsuit.
